Please reach us at edirector@mshfh.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Let us know you are interested in volunteering with us and what you are interested in doing (helping at our home builds, ReStore, or on a committee) by filling out the volunteer form on this page. Our volunteer coordinator will reach out to you shortly after filling out the form.
Before starting volunteer work, you must have a volunteer waiver completed (copies available in the volunteer binder located at all volunteer sites). If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must fill out a minor waiver.
If you would like to specifically volunteer at our ReStores, you can show up during business hours, complete a volunteer waiver, and get started that day!
You will be representing Habitat while volunteering so dress appropriately! Wear comfortable clothes to work in that you would not mind getting a bit dirty.
Shoes: closed toe shoes. No flip flops, sandals or heels
Shirts: Shirts should have sleeves. No tank tops or shirts with inappropriate writing or graphics
Pants: Should be modest and professional
If volunteering outdoors or at one of our home builds, be sure to dress according to the weather
We take court-ordered volunteers and students who are completing school assignments. However, volunteers must be willing to perform requested tasks and provide a positive attitude.
Let our volunteer coordinator know if you need a form completed or signed! You must log hours in our volunteer binders for hours to count.
Volunteers can expect to:
Task vary day-to-day and depending on which ReStore you are volunteering at. The ReStore manager or volunteer coordinator will provide you with guidance on what tasks need to be completed
